it's been a while since I last posted a picture so here ya go!

picture and a crib

Hey! so for those of you who don't know yet, I FINALLY got my ring off!! I got it off 2 days ago, and I still have an indent in my finger, so it's probably a good thing it's off. :) I think we're going to get maddie's room painted next week while chris is off. atleast I HOPE we do. :) He finally painted the crib last week, but was very unhappy with how it came out. so Nancy bought us a new one!!!! it's super cool, a convertable one that will turn into a toddler bed and a full size bed so hopefully it'll be around for a long long time. :) It doesn't come with an attached changing table, so we might end up using the changing table from the other crib. I'll have to see if we can salvage it, or we might have to go get a changing table or dresser. Haven't quite figured that part out yet. :)

Shot & a picture

so I'm going to be getting the H1N1 vaccine on the 11th. Oh and something new I noticed today... I'm starting to see veins in my belly. no stretch marks as of yet, but the veins are interesting.. :) I'm also starting to think that I'm going to have to get my engagement ring cut off. I've tried several times to get it off and it's not working. I'll try a few more times, but if I can't get it off by the weekend I'll probably go to a jeweler and get it cut off. :( I know everybody's pregnancy's are different, but I just can't believe nobody in person or online said anything about not getting rings off before it was too late. :( owell, live and learn.. ;)

Bad Kyda Bad!

yes, I'm a horrible blogger, I fully admit it.... I just feel like I don't really have a whole lot to say..

Maddie and I are doing fine. according to my last ultrasound she's sitting breach right now. maybe that's another reason I have to go to the bathroom ALL the time. she must be standing on my bladder! :) I think I've been feeling her thud around alittle bit, but so far, nothing from the outside, although chris trys to feel her multiple times a day. :)

We picked out her bedroom paint color the other night. It's a light yellow called Lazy Daisy. Hopefully we'll get that started soon.

My back & left hip have been hurting really bad. I started going to a chiropractor last week, we'll see if that helps. I could also use some help with these darn headaches! although I think they might also have something to do with the weather, as it's been rainy and gloomy it seems like for weeks! we have one nice sunny day to like 5 bad ones... :(

Well, that's about all I can think of to report. I'll post a couple pics now. I've started just taking them with my cell phone camera. seems like I have more down time at work than I do at home.. ;)

hey guys!! sorry it's been a while. :( Maddie and I are doing great. a few aches and pains, but nothing major. :) My next dr's appt is on the 14th of October and we will have our 45 minute diagnostic ultrasound then, to make sure she's growing well. :)

well, onto the pics..

I made this hat for maddie about a week ago using a circular knifty knitter. it's pretty cool and goes pretty fast. :) chris was so cute when I showed it to him, he said, It's so tiny! and I said, well, maddie's gonna be pretty tiny.. ;)

and here's the bouncer that I got from a yard sale for $3. I'll have to wash the cover of course, but man, I couldn't pass up that deal!! the same exact make & model goes for $25 at walmart! :)

Am I a hippie?

So due to the down time I have at work and a fascination with all things internet I've been doing ALOT of research on baby stuff. Which isn't a bad thing, but I'm finding all sorts of things that I never really thought about or knew existed.

I'm planning on wearing Maddie in a sling. I've heard it's very beneficial for mom and for baby. I'm planning on breast feeding, I'm planning on cloth diapering. And now I've been reading up on elimination communication...

It's interesting. It's basically "potty training" starting as an infant. I've read where some people start at birth, and some people wait a few months. It certainly would save money on diapers and time for washing the diapers. I'm sure your probably thinking that I'm crazy and ultimately too lazy to follow through on it, but it's interesting to think about.

Still here!

hey! we're all still doing good. :) the kid and I went on a little roadtrip this weekend down to Indy for my cousin Robbie's wedding. My friend Amy came along. We had a great time and it was good to see my relatives that I haven't seen in a while. :) We also had time to go shopping and dad bought us a carseat & stroller!!! check a big one off the list.. ;) So anyway, without furthur ado, onto a baby bump pic and pics of the stroller/carseat set up.

we put it up in the baby's room, so the kitties wouldn't play around in it too much. :)

Dr's appointment

Not much to tell really. gave them a "sample" had my pulse & weight taken and listened to the heartbeat which is at 145 right now, which is good. :) I go back in another 4 weeks. :)

quick note

hey! so I'm totally excited! I got my WIC vouchers today! They're not as great as food stamps, there's very specific rules on what I can get and how much, but it'll help quite a bit. It doesn't cover meat, but I can get milk, cereal, cheese, beans, rice, veggies & that icky fruit crap... hehe

I have my next dr's appt tommorow afternoon. I'll post an update when I get back from that. :)

hey! soo sorry I haven't posted in a while. Didn't think I had a whole lot to say that was post worthy, but I've come up with a few things. :)

So I talked to Treva the other day about the cloth diapers and she LOVED them!!! and she's going to send me hers, so I don't have to shell out all that start up money!! :) YAY! Also, I've decided to paint the baby's room a nice light minty green. I figured it would look good with both pink and blue depending on what we're having. :) I'd also like to paint the crib white. I think that would look really sharp with the green walls. :) Let's see.....Oh, I want to get a baby sling. I've read alot of great things about "baby wearing" and it seems alot easier than holding or carrying all the time. still doing some research. just like everything else, there's a ton of different options, some more complicated than others. :)

This is a crazy month for us! this saturday I work, then the following weekend we'll be over in elgin visiting w/emily & eric, then the following weekend we're driving up to michigan for a family reunion. there's also a bachlorette party and a birthday party that weekend too!! why did everybody plan stuff the last two weekends of the month! then the last weekend of the month we're missing out on mom & dad's yard sale to drive down to Indy for a cousins wedding. crazy crazy!!

My next dr's appointment is on the 18th. I'm not sure if they'll do an ultrasound or not. I hope so!! :):) Oh and just in case your wondering we won't find out the sex of the baby until around 20 weeks I think.

I do have a new belly pic from this week, but I'll have to post that tonight when I get home. :) for now here's a few pics of what I'm planning on getting for little 2.0. :) The first is an all in one cloth diaper. no pins here!! ;) the 2nd one is the sling I probably want to get. It's got a pouch and a little toy ring on the front. how cool is that. :) Have a great day. :)

thinking about it

so, I've been thinking and doing some research into cloth diapers. They've come a long way from squares of thin fabric held together with safety pins. they snap and velcro, and they have elastic around the legs. there's so many different kinds! and they even have biodegradable liners that catch the solids, then you just flush the liner and contents away, so it's not so messy. It'll be cheaper in the long run, and soo much better for the environment! I read somewhere that it takes 500 years for a disposable diaper to degrade in the landfills. that's nuts! so anyway, like I said, just something I'm thinking about...

just thought I'd let you know. :)

on a side note I have a headache today. :(:( I've been extremely fortunate, since you all know how much I get headaches, this is the first major one I can remember getting since I found out I was pregnant! hopefully by tomorrow it'll go away. if not then I'll have to go get some Tylenol.

Predictions?

ok guys, some thing fun I just thought of. Kirsten gave me her prediction on the baby today.

you are going to have a little boy, with dark hair and I think brownish, golden eyes. And he is going to have a oval face and smaller, thinner lips. Kinda longer, thin nose, but not ugly. A bit of a higher forehead and a bit of widows peak, but not much.

Dr's appt and new pics

hi there! well I had another dr's appointment today. had an ultrasound first. everything is looking good. 2.o is now 1 inch big. :) I can't believe how much it's grown in 2 weeks! :) the dr is very nice, but seemed alittle rushed. The tests they did last week all turned out ok. my prolactin levels were high, but about 60 points less than the concern point, so he just said we'd keep an eye on it. :) seems like my due date changes whenever I see the doctor, but according to the ultrasound I am now 9 weeks and 1 day, making my estimated due date 2/21.

as for me, I'm doing pretty good. I've gained about 9 pounds in the last 2 weeks, which is probably more than normal, but I've been eating alot of crap and eating more often, probably because of the not smoking thing, but next time I go to the grocery store I'm going to buy more healthy food and try and eat better... I was craving cheeseburgers like crazy last week.. ;) As for pregnancy symptoms, I've been off and on pissy, smelling EVERYTHING, & experiencing alittle more than usual heartburn and going potty, but thank goodness no morning sickness yet (knock on wood) :) Anyway, enough talk, onto the pics!!

The little circle thing above the baby is the yoke sack. it's whats nourishing the baby while the placenta is developing. The 3d picture doesn't show much, but it's still pretty cool. :)

Baby's room

For those of you wondering about where the baby's room will be, it'll be in the 2nd bedroom upstairs. :) We'll need to get the windows replaced before he/she comes and hopefully that will aliviate the coldness up there. Also running the baseboard heaters should help too.. :) We'll probably try to figure out a way to keep the futon in there for visitors and maybe me in the beginning for ease of feeding.. :)

hi there! so I had mentioned that I was getting a crib from Kirsten, but today we found a crib that had been left in one of the apartments and we grabbed it. :) It's cool, it's got a changing table and shelves included. so pretty excited about that, except I don't have the room cleaned out yet, so the crib is sitting in our entry way right now.. ;) Oh and on the belly picture, I might have pushed my belly out, just a little bit... ;)

Haven't forgotten

hey! I haven't forgotten to post, just nothing new to post in the last few days... :) We're all doing well. :)

I made my first batch of ice cream last night with the ice cream maker Kirsten got me for my birthday!! it was cookies and cream and it was FABULOUS!!! :):) After this batch is gone though I think I'll move onto frozen yogurt, which is more healthy for 2.0 and I.. ;)

Planning on doing some purging and organizing of the house this weekend. woo hoo!! hehe

quick update

well today was doctor day. left work about 10:40 and headed to the clinic for my 11:00 appt. got called back at almost 11:30 and started doing all the medical history questions. after a while chris got there and came back to the room. OH, just a side note, they gave me a copy of what to expect when your expecting for free!! how cool is that! I almost bought that yesterday! :)

ok, so anyway, we finish up with the history stuff, then head off into the ultrasound room. after alittle bit of waiting she came and and started up. She took a bunch of pictures espcially of the cysts on my ovaries, which are a heck of alot bigger than I thought they were, but didn't seem to worry her at all. Then we got to see little 2.0, and hear the heartbeat, she took pics (will scan tonight) and that was that. She did say judging by the measurements I'm 6 weeks 6 days today. So I figured out my approx due date is now going to be around the End of February.

So then we left and went to get some lunch, then chris went back to work and I headed back to the clinic for my 1:30 appt with the doctor. I got brought back pretty quickly, but then waited in the room FOREVER!! I don't think she came in till after 2:00, so then she did her exam, and that was about it. I didn't really like her too much, she wasn't very forth coming w/information, but that's ok, cuz she's just a temp doctor and I'll start seeing my new doctor who I hear is very good in 2 weeks. So I made my appointment for another ultrasound and appt with the new doctor in 2 weeks and headed over to the hospital for my blood work. (hospital is just right accross the street) so waited around there for a bit and finally got all my blood work done and got back to work at about 3:00! That was a very long morning!! ;) Oh, and once I get my medical card in she wanted me to go to a nurologist and maybe get another mri done when I can to check that growth I had on my pituitary gland and one of the blood tests they ordered was to check my prolactin levels, which if you remember were high due to the growth...

aannnd we're off!

yeah, We're pregnant!!!! hehe it's absolutely a freaking miracle!!

So here's how I found out...

Went into the clinic on Thursday morning the 2nd at 6:45 to get my yearly done before work. I asked them to go ahead and just do a pregnancy test real quick cuz I was late, but that's nothing new, because of my PCOS, so it was just a formality, I had absolutely no idea that it would come up positive. So I do my thing, the nurse does her thing, and I'm just sitting in the room waiting for them to come in, say it's negative and get on with stuff. Well I hear alittle noise from the room she's in and then she comes in and says It's positive!!! Holy Crap, utter shock!!! jaw dropped and I'm like are you sure??? she brought me in to see it and said the line just jumped out! no waiting, boom it was there!!! So I'm totally freaking out, crying, hugging her and just generally in shock! :) So, I left, still in shock and drove out to chris's work. He knew that I was going to the dr that morning, and that I was late, but again, we've gone through that so many times. So I called him as I was turning in the parking lot and told him to come outside and I said "Weelll" and he said what, and I just looked at him and he said Your Pregnant?? and I said Yup!! :):) I think he handled the news quite well! :)

So the rest of the day was spent calling everybody and telling them the news. I know some people prefer to wait, but not me!!

As for my bad addictions, starting that day I've had 2 soda's a day and 1 to 2 ciggs a day. I'd say I'm doing pretty well!! Today I'm gonna do my damnedest not to have any ciggs. I know little 2.0 & daddy would appreciate that. :)

I have my first doctors appointment tomorrow the 7th. I'll let everybody know how it went. :)

btw, Chris came up with the nickname 2.0 and I think for us it's very fitting!! In computer language it basically means, it's the next version of us! hehe
